I understand the need people have to save a show.  I do.  They watch and in the process become emotionally attached to characters.  They want to keep their favorite shows on.  So they send people nuts or Mars Bars.  At least with the Mars Bars the people at The CW got some candy.  What I can’t stand watching though is when someone takes advantage of fans.

I mentioned the growing trend of releasing even brief and long since canceled series onto DVD in my last post, and the question of whether DVD releases are hurting niche shows (which brief and quickly canceled shows released on DVD tend to be) has come up.  I thought long and hard on this topic and came up with this answer:

In the beginning of this episode we get to see Sookie get attacked and “scratched” by this mysterious beast that kinda looks like the devil in the movie Legend(if you ask me).Anyway, she gets three gory claw marks on her back, Bill takes her to Eric’s place and they call up on the resident Voo-Doo doctor(I guess that’s what she was) she and Eric wasn’t too fond of each other that’s for sure!

I love summer. I love every last aspect of it, even sunburns and heat-waves and mosquitoes, if only because it’s not really summer without them. I even love summer television. It always seems gloriously good or gloriously bad, not to mention strange. In comparison, the fall line ups always seem so tame and colorless. I’ve gotten a bit spoiled, these last few years, with cable and hulu  and the ever-growing trend of releasing even long forgotten cult hits onto DVD.

Eric S is one of the new writers on the site.  He’s a big fan of TV and has done some crazy things that I frown upon heavily like sending nuts to poor hapless assistants at CBS and making their week horrible as they try and figure out what to do with the nuts.  As long as he didn’t send them blood the next season for MOONLIGHT… anyway he has an interesting take on HEROES, because he has never watched it.  He has the POV of someone on the outside looking in.  This is an important POV, one that NBC should be paying a lot of attention to.  So I’m posting this article with a forward to explain why you’re seeing it.  Anyway enjoy:
