Next show to get the walking papers?

Friday is the day most networks decide to let shows ‘go’. Given that NBC has already canned Southland – what do you think might go today?
Three Rivers? Hank? Trauma? Mercy? Dollhouse? Melrose Place?
Sound off in the comments!
This is hard… if we were talking about The CW I would say Melrose Place but theyr not going to cancel it untill may. Trauma for NBC, Three Rivers for CBS, The Forgotten for ABC and Dollhouse for FOX but the one who will be first is… The Forgotten and why because why not?
My money is on Hank and Mercy.
Honestly? Nothing.
CBS: Three Rivers will air one or two more episodes before they yank it. AoP probably lives (via small/no backorder) until Rules of Engagement replaces it in February.
CW: MP is not getting canceled anytime soon – CW simply has nothing else to air.
Fox: Dollhouse will air at least one more episode before it is yanked off the schedule. Brothers airs at least the two episodes this weekend before it is yanked – and even then it will get moved to Sundays, and never formally canceled, simply given no backorder.
NBC: Trauma is so canceled it’s not funny. But with the Southland debacle still top-of-the-page news, and being an NBC/Uni production, NBC will simply “pause” production (and never restart it) once some other network cancels a show.
ABC: Eastwick, Forgotten, and Hank are all dead. ABC has nothing else to air there though, so we’re looking at more “soft” (no backorder) cancellations.
Or to summarize: Today, no one. Tuesday, Three Rivers.
I still don’t get the Southland move. NBC has a couple shows stinking up the airwaves and nothing else to air! How can they cancel Trauma and Mercy with nothing to put in their places?
I think Hank, The Forgotten, and Three Rivers will be the next three to go.
I don’t think there will be another cancellation today, but there are more in the works.
ABC: I think Hank is not long for this world, Forgotten and Eastwick not far behind. The other three Wednesday comedies got renewals and nothing for Hank, besides ABC has Scrubs and Better off Ted in the wings.
CBS: I had thought Accidently on Purpose, as it is weakening Mondays, but as DWTS seems to be in decline and Heroes is…well the train wreck that is Heroes, I think AOP gets a reprieve. Besides Three Rivers opened to minimal numbers and should decline this week, they are the first to go.
Fox: Brothers and Dollhouse have terrible numbers, ’til Death should be on this list but they seem to be able to hypnotize executives when the subject of ratings come up. I still say Brothers is next to gom but won’t be suprised if it is Dollhouse instead.
NBC: I had thought that Parks would be the first to go, but with a bit of a ratings spurt it has moved from “in danger of cancellation” to “in danger of not being renewed”. Mercy, despite the horrible Demos is still competitive in it’s time slot (weak as it is) where Trauma’s ratings are worse and it costs are among the highest on the schedule. Trauma will be the first to go.
I find it hard to see NBC cancelling anything else (in the immediate future) after axing Southland before episodes have even aired. It seems to me that when they pulled the plug on Southland they have for better or worse decided to stick with Mercy and Trauma for a few more weeks. Having said that I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised to see NBC juggle their schedule a little over the next week. And despite the numbers and public opinion Parks was never in danger of being pulled until the new year.
Elsewhere I still think Fox is sticking with their Friday schedule for the time being and if anything gets pulled my money would be on Brothers over Dollhouse. Personally I think there’s more chance of both Dollhouse and Brothers mysteriously disappearing from the mid season schedule than being publicly axed.
Ultimately I think that leaves the battle down to CBS’ Three Rivers and ABC’s the forgotten.
CBS already seems to be setting up a replacement for Three Rivers so its days are number barring a magical ratings spurt on Sunday night. The forgotten meanwhile may last another week purely because ABC doesn’t have anything outside of 20/20 or repeats to slot into its place. As it is though my money is on the forgotton being yanked before Three Rivers.
