ABC did not announce an early renewal for “Castle” as it did for “The Middle,” “Modern Family,” and “Cougar Town,” but it did something almost as good: It announced a sequel to the hit novel “Heat Wave” by Richard Castle.  The second book by Richard Castle will be released in September, leading one to believe a third season of the fun detective drama is looking like  a pretty solid possibility.  Here’s the ABC press release:

ABC has officially shit-canned HANK today. Huzzah!

After dumping UGLY BETTER on Friday nights (pretty much saying its dead), ABC now plans to move the show to Wednesday and ‘relaunch’ it.

It sure looks like it! With Hulu airing free ABC, Fox and NBC shows (no CBS and CW) they are considering a subscription model while still offering some content for free.
