If any fan base has been through more ups and downs than the Jericho fans, I’d love to meet them and get them to join the Rangers!

I’ll be blunt. The CW sucks and I’m having trouble mustering up the enthusiasm to write about it. But, I’ll give it a whirl anyway. Surely there won’t be anything as disastrous as The Beautiful Life: TBL this fall! (oh wait, Hellcats. Nevermind.)

Once again, CBS has an embarrassment of riches and thus has the luxury of being able to pluck off shows that have ratings other networks would kill for. What was atypical, however, was CBS making the most interesting moves this year.

ABC is thanking its lucky stars for NBC, because of the peacock wasn’t a total disaster (thank you Leno) then ABC would certainly be looking a whole lot worse than it is in the press.

Coming off a very strong year, Fox is looking to the fall with only three new series premiering (excluding The Good Guys, which has already premiered and will run through the summer.)

An NBC fall schedule that includes Conan O’Brien but not “Law & Order?” Who’d have thought! That’s because Conaco-produced “Outlaw” (formerly known as “Garza”) starring Jimmy Smits made it onto the schedule, albeit in an invisible timeslot, while “Law & Order” was officially given the axe. Despite L&O going by the wayside, a new spin-off, “Law & Order: Los Angeles” made the schedule as expected. That means Wednesdays will now include two full hours of L&O shows, with SVU being bumped back to 9 pm where it floundered last fall when Leno was acting as a ratings-suck in the 10 pm slot. But hey, it’s NBC. To their credit, they didn’t let the fact that they had five extra hours to fill stop them from canceling crap like “Mercy,” “Trauma,” and “Heroes.” NBC programmers had but one season to make an impression on Comcast, so it was out with the old, in with the new.

I have not seen an official press release yet, but several reliable sources are now reporting that ABC has renewed Castle for a third season.

Some hopeful fans are calling the two Wednesday episodes of Scrubs a “Comedy Wednesday” tryout, a more likely scenario is that these episodes are merely being burned off. Now, ABC.com is calling next week’s episode the “Series Finale.”

24 is three things: Expensive, Aging, and trending downward in the ratings. So it should come as a surprise to no one that Fox is about to let the clock run out.

CBS announced today it is ordering a second season of Undercover Boss in what is likely the least-surprising news of the season. No official mention of how many episodes or how they will manage to slide CEOs into their own companies without being noticed this time around.
