VAMPIRE DIARIES debuted to a huge opening for THE CW.  I said last year it had to be a hit, and it is (for now).  Vampires are IN.  If you’re someone wondering how to breathe life back into daytime soaps, I suggest bringing back DARK SHADOWS.  Vampires are just the hot topic for a lot of non-goth right now.  While vamps were extremely successful with the Goth crowd of the 90s, vampires seem to be a far larger cultural phenom right now and there is no better example than HBO and their series TRUE BLOOD, which on Sunday Night ended its second season run.

Picking right up from last week we find the newly found Godric saving Sookie and it’s seems he really isn’t in too much trouble, allowing himself to be caught and held by the Fellowship of the Sun. Godric wants humans and vampires to live in peace and he shows several signs of good faith in this episode.

As Sookie and the newly introduced Hugo(who belongs to Isabel) make their plans to infiltrate the Light Of Day Church we get to see a different side of Bill, a much darker side. As Lorena(his maker) enters the picture., she has her own plans of reuniting with her long lost Bill.

Picking up from last week we see Sam following Daphne(who knows his secret) and finds out she has one of her own! She’s also a shape-shifter. What I don’t get is why Sam doesn’t ask her about the claw marks on her back? Maybe he’ll get around to it. Passing by the two, Terry and Darlene still seem to be under MaryAnn’s creepy trance.

This episode starts off with Jason wandering around the Light of Day camp at the dead of night when he notices things have been trashed and thrown around and doors have been left open. He walks into his dorm room only to find all of his room mates laying dead and bloody everywhere. Then a masked character emerges from the shadows and jumps Jason only for poor Jason to discover he’s been the butt of a huge prank. Jason punches Luke Man right square in the nose, rips off his clip-on tie and tells his peers that “Vampires are not a joke”.

In the beginning of this episode we get to see Sookie get attacked and “scratched” by this mysterious beast that kinda looks like the devil in the movie Legend(if you ask me).Anyway, she gets three gory claw marks on her back, Bill takes her to Eric’s place and they call up on the resident Voo-Doo doctor(I guess that’s what she was) she and Eric wasn’t too fond of each other that’s for sure!

This episode starts off  in the dungeon with Eric finishing his little “redneck” snack and noticing something in his hair asking Lafayette”is there blood in my hair?” This is bad,Pam’s going to kill me”. Lafayette.who in turn asks”who the f*** is Pam”?I love the one liners!
